• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Strange rear air suspension action

Navy Warrant

Most times, a second or two after stopping, the rear end of the bike goes down an inch or so giving me a slight vertigo/elevator feeling, and usually goes back up again after a few seconds (I assume the compressor is correcting it). The tech at the dealership says he pressurized the system and it didn't leak. Anyone have any similar experiences?

It is normal, to some extent. The auto ACS works off ride height. When you stop, the rear rises, and the solenoid compensates, then when you accelerate, the rear end drops slightly, and the compressor compensates. The same effect can be achieved by standing on the footpegs.

Wierd. I never noticed the down and back up before a month or so ago, and the tech didn't say anything about it being normal.
You will frequently come across people on this forum that are more knowledgeable about the spyder than the average dealer tech.

As Scotty said only time it might be abnormal is if you re sitting still and the compressor kicks in more than once. It may signal an air leak.:thumbup:

Yes, and it should also be noted that the air valve may release more than once. It only releases a little at a time, so it doesn't overshoot, so it may adjust in several increments. The compressor tends to run only once or twice to adjust upwards.

It's a lot of fun listening to the ACS systems in a crowd... You can have a half-dozen or more of them clearing their throats and getting ready; all at once! nojoke :2thumbs:
