Steering Angle Sensor

Wife's 2010 RT threw three codes today C0057, UD122, C00SC. Didn't have have Spyder Codes with me, so stopped at the Dealer and they plugged it into their BUDS. Said it is the Steering Angle Sensor, $395 for the part and a couple hours of labor. Cleared the codes, and told her to ride it, see if it comes back. Can anyone come up with a part number I would like to shop around, i.e. cheapcycleparts.com or louispowersports.com.

Curious..!!

was any work done on the front end, alignment cause if the sensor is not re calibrated you will get error codes. Some road conditions can pop a code but they clear and don't come back. So ryde and if it comes back there may be an issue...:thumbup:

:agree: It's often mentioned that having a laser alignment done, will then require that the S.A.S. is recalibrated...
Gene is also correct about "road conditions"...
If you find yourself in a real long sweeping turn, where the bars are held slightly off-center for longer than what the computer expects; it can get nervous, and pop a code...

We did have a Laser Alignment done over a year and half ago... Joe and Ann updated the system. When we went to the dealer yesterday he cleared the codes and updated the system and told her to ride. We will do that until next next spring when it goes in for it's annual check up. Thanks for all the replies!

We reset the sensors when we do alignments.

Ours had misaligned steering from the day we brought it home and didn't realize it until it threw a couple codes...once dealer recalibrate to zero/center it hasn't happened since. So see what happens, maybe it's not a bad sensor.
