There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. State Inspection Stickers

I plan on taking my Spyder for state inspection in the morning. Last years sticker was mounted on the black panel just forward of the left riders foot peg. I really didn't like it there. I just replaced the panel with the new oil change upgraded panel and want to put it somewhere else. I purchased a stainless steel plate that I want to put the sticker on but can't find anywhere to mount it.

The VA stickers are 3x5 and must be mounted on the left side, preferably toward the front. Anyone got ideas?

Back in the old days..!!

in Texas the tag holder had a drop down for the inspection sticker. You could wing it out from the left or right hand tag bolts.. A thought..!! :dontknow:

My sticker is in the same place as the OP-- on the left-side frame just ahead of the rear tire. Don't see why there's a problem with having it there-- it's legal, it's out of the way, it works. :dontknow:

I will say that my *County* sticker wants to peel off that side something fierce, but I've got my office parking decal and inspection sticker there just fine.

Wow, that sounds like more GOVERNMENT AHGHHHHH HOO HA, to me. Do you guys have year and month decal on your plates ? I have to register my ride every year, get a new sticker for the plate about 1 inch by 1 inch, cost less 80 bucks, no other decals, nothing. Unless a line up at the DMV, usually in and out within a couple of minutes.

Have the same in Texas for the registration. Some states have an annual safety inspection and another sticker. Texas has the mandatory inspection that's done at licensed inspection stations like dealers or service stations etc. and the additional sticker.

Here in New Hampshire we have annual registration renewals and annual inspections. The registration renewal results in a new sticker for the license plate, and the inspection results in a new sticker which is displayed on the left front shock absorber.

Here's what I get to enjoy living in the Commonwealth of Virginia:

-- State registration. $55 for two years, you get the month and year stickers for your plate. Can do it online.
-- State safety inspection. $15 from the dealer. Slap that on the frame.
-- County sticker. $18 + my Virginia personal property tax (changes yearly, last year I paid $275 on top of the $18). Slap that on the frame.

As I mentioned before, I also have a parking decal so I can park at my office. Slap that on the frame, and I've got four decals I *must* have on the Spyder. :gaah:

(Oh, and I also have an Ez-Pass for tolls mounted underneath my Madstad windshield bracket... MORE crud on the bike... )

thats where mine is below the plate, but I wanna Spyderlovers plate holder! Hoping they got em at Spyderfest!:dontknow:

Arkansas does not require a safety sticker

When I lived in Arkansas they required a sticker, it was stuck on the fork, don't remember left or right. Now I'm in Texas and the sticker is on a plate mounted in the same holes as the License and shows below the plate. I never understood the need for a sticker in Missouri and Arkansas because you had to show proof that the inspection had been done to renew your tags, but in Texas you don't so if you can get away with it you only have to show proof the first time your vehicle is registered. I have a truck that the tags ar due in Feb and the inspection in June. I always thought they did this so you can forget to have your inspection done and they can write more tickets.
