There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hey guys I just installed HID kit :spyder2:everything works fine but for some reason battery is acting up in can start bike after it’s being on tender then as soon I cut off it takes few times before it starts. Thanks in advance for everyone’s helps Oh it’s the factory battery

Thanks
Ravi

The lights are factory wired to turn on with the key - you should re-wire for a swithched system for the HID (per packaged recommendations). I admit that I didn't use the BRP system, but I had the same issues when I installed mine. The ignitor takes a bunch of power - just my $0.02.. :spyder:

No form what i have seen so far they come on after :spyder2: starts so it should not be an issue. but i also notice before i install HID;s bike seems to hesitate a bit. and i'm getting GPS issue @ same time.

thanks
ravi

What HID's are you using? Some of the cheaper HID's have a problem with RF messing with the Spyder.

some cheap 1's but they works fine after the bike starts, what's "RF" i might run then thru relay. thanks

I guess it’s the Battery , just came back from buddys shop run load test it shows 7.6 i think it spose to be 9.6 @ lest so I have new 1 on order thanx to Lamonster early post about good battery for :spyder2: thanks again everyone, looks likes i should do brain dump from Lamonster he got all the Ans's. oh on side note is there something about running new ground wire recall or something i saw it somewhere but can;t find it anymore.

thanks
ravi

As Lamont said, some of the cheaper HID kits put out Radio Frequency interference with ends up messing with the sensors on the Spyder. Were you already having problems with your GPS before you installed the lights? If not then the HID ballasts could be the culprit. I am not sure how you could go about shielding them since they were not already made that way.

thanks again i'm gona try new battery before i take everything out keep you guys posted thanks for all the help

Definitely let us know if the new battery resolves your issues for you.

Best of luck with it. :)

Could be draining more energy...don't know if a battery should be dead if the bike is only a year or two old, at most...I use the battery tender plus...others might not, but lights shouldn't be killing the battery...I know ESI's products don't do this...others might create a greater drain...then again, the fuse would likely blow if it was too much...who knows?

Hey bone crusher,

I have ESI's HID's and if I remember right I could easily disconnect them and see if the battery will operate everything else. Maybe Ravi4I should try that before buying another battery, if that is possible with his HID's.

cheap ...is cheap.....

put factory bulbs back in if no problem then it the light ...call evan get the right ones

I agree 100%...I've been following HID discussions now for some time and they are my next mod...I would not buy anything other than ESI's (Evan's) product...they are tried and true with so many people here...why go with anything else, esp. since other products are not tested on our vehicle. Last I checked, ESI's HIDs are very reasonably priced as well...really can't be beat for quality and company reputation!

Thanx for all the input I got it all working just had to put the blasters somewhere other then next to head lights and the reason I did not go with ESI beasue the 1 got only $41.50 shipped. I have these in all my other bike never had an issue expt this time. They are kinda plug and play all I have to do is cut small hole on back rubber cover. Again thank you all for your help.

Thanks
Ravi
