• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

STALLING SPYDER

:helpsmilie::gaah:Warming 2010 RS-S spyder up for 5min then spyder stalls-restart -then ok. 2 days later out riding around 25 miles or so weather in the high 70s come to light in 1st gear rolled to stop spyder stalls. Shut down kill and key for quick reset. Everything back up push start and off I go. Stop home let sit for 30 min - back out riding 7 or 8 miles stop shut down pick up stuff at store 5min- load up start up pull out ride 40ft in first spyder stalls. Same deal. Had it in shop for this last year and after a month they said it was the battery and replaced it. Last year prior to the battery replacment when it would stall it would not restart. QUESTION- WHY DOES MY SPYDER STALL? Thanks for any and all help. I can ride it 50 miles with multiple stop with no problem ...then BOOM.

Stalling Stinks

My 2008 SE5 RS was acting poorly after warming up and really hesitated taking off from a stop at times. It ran good at higher rpm and speeds, but would almost stall when taking off at times. I checked plugs, plug wires, relays, vacuum connections, battery condition and connections with no change in the problem. Someone finally mentioned possible water in the gas with all of the rain we have had in our area. Long story short, I added some fuel additive designed to get rid of the water plus ran a couple of tanks of premium. Everything is working fine now, so wish I had tried the fuel additive approach first. Low tech possibility to solve the problem, but may be worth a try. Not all fuel additives take care of moisture issues, so double check the product if you try this option.

push in the fusses and relays ,that will do just what you descrbed.i know same here.i check mine every 500 miles.

Thanks- I will try all. It's that it is just so random - like I hit a bump or pothole and it's fine then at a light shuts down - nuts - ride 300 miles fine then bang 200 more than bang 15 more bang - it's why the dealer (I believe) did not find the true cause. It does seems to happen like most cars at slow speed first gear off gas or at idle- I will update. Thanks again!

My 2009 RS Se5 stalled rolling to a stop today..First time it has done it. Started right back up.I was in stop and go traffic with short stretches of app 40 mph in between stops. The speeds were right in between gears to where I was either lugging it or running high rpms..I am thinking I was lugging it too much, and maybe fouling the plugs?..I had even noticed a slight miss at lower rpm's also.I am going to get some new plugs and try that. Seems like 7,400 miles would be too soon to need spark plugs though.:dontknow:

RTS Stalling

My 2011 RTS has been stalling too. I tried adding the fuel additive and so far I haven't had the stalling problem. My tech thinks it's a good idea in general to use a fuel additive. Gasoline out there is crap.
