• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had Bump Shield installed on RT...definite increase in MPG...3 tanks since install =s 35.55 average MPG
6 prior fills averaged 31.7 MPG
Works for me...thanks Spyderpops

So I can sell it to the Missus as a way to get better mpg?? This just keeps getting better and better!
Thanks for the report!! :firstplace:

I had the bump shield installed at Spyderfest so I'll be checking my MPG for sure. We do have to remember the shield was not marketed as a gas saver,at least to me, so I would hate for any one to be disappointed.

 Sssshhhhhh... How can I sell the Missus on one if she hears you?? :gaah:
Mum's the word. Not a true test, with the thrailer and the wind. I'll wait to see how the numbers come out. I probably ride faster most of the time than Karyl. I didn't buy the Critter Crusher for it's mileage or defensive capabilities...I just like the looks.

Bob,
The BumpSkid was designed to protect the front area of the Spyder and not to increase the fuel economy.

There have been many reports of how the BumpSkid has already saved the front area from damage and how happy they were to have had it installed.

Gas mileage increases have been reported however this depends on many conditions and I have not personally experienced it on an RT.

I'm keeping track of mileage on my RS but have only had it a week so far.

Tell the mrs. That it will save the front of the bike when a critter attacks you. That should be enough to sell her then I can sell it to you.

I like the way it enhances the looks of the RT more than anything else.

Tune into www.SPYDERPOPS.com .

Well since I've already augered the front end in :yikes: on a turn onto a secondary road; she understands the functionality of it. Just looking for more ammo for my arguments...
