There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP doesn't announce the location until January but Spyderfest will be in Missouri. They are two different events.

I've heard rumors there is talk about having it in Branson for 2013 because there are tons more accommodations.

I would not put my faith in rumors, what your best friend heard at breakfast, or what the Ouija board said. When the MOGang announces the plans, then we will have the answers to where and when. They haven't even had their first planning meeting yet. Give them a chance!

The last Spyderfest event was the last weekend in April, and the three days before that. If it remains the same that would make it April 24-28 for 2013. Note that the last day is pretty much a travel day, and that there are informal activities for a day or two prior to the opening of event registration on Wednesday. It is possible to do as little as a day of the event and still have fun. I'd still hold off for a bit on vactaion requests, if it were me, with nearly 3 months to go. You might want to look up old threads or the old Spyderfest Web site to see what goes on when. That is subject to change, anyway.

Thanks, we have talked about trying to do one of these. Probably the one in missouri, because our family vacation with the grown kids is in may or june. We just start talking about diferent things this time of year so we can hopefully get it all nailed down before the deadline to submit her requests.
