There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyderfest 2011/ Capital Ride

:spyder2: OK here is my run boys and girls.. Its called the "Capital Run". We will be headed toward Jefferson City MO for this is our CAPITAL of MO
(see link)

http://www.capitolplazajeffersoncity.com/?src=ppc_google_brand_freewifiand

most all are pretty proud of this city. We have some what of a HIT time on this one simply cause we are going to receive a guided tour of the CAPITAL. ALSO, nothing in concrete as of yet BUT it could be possible that we could be eating lunch with our Governor (see link) http://governor.mo.gov/. Still working this one though, his calendar doesn't get published till a month out,,we are on the list and I have to call back on the 1st of April to see if they can fit us in.. If not we will grab some chow in and around Jefferson City.. Should be a fun ride with good roads and kind of a straight forward ride... Looking forward to getting the whole spyderfest 2011 kicked off and start having some fun.. I also look forward to seeing everyone again and meeting new spYder members.. ON a off topic subject: I hear that Len and cowtown have one heck of a DJ lined up for us one night.. Ha Ha..

Folks your in for a good time no matter which ride you go on they are all well planned out and it will be a fun day for all.. See ya all soon..

Suggestions for SpyderRyde'n Pooches

Sounds like a Great Ryde!

This may not be the best place to post this question, but i figure someone in the know can head us in the right direction when it comes to group rydes at SpyderFest :2excited:

What rydes would be best for Teddy & I to go on?

I doubt a dog would be allowed in if there was "Lunch with the Govenor" unless it was served outside or something. Also, not sure about the tours. I'd hate to go on a ryde just to find out they wont allow Teddy in.

If Teddy's not allowed, I'm NOT Allowed:lecturef_smilie:

So, any suggestions out there from those in the know:hun::dontknow::hun:
Appreciate it

All group rides will be the 29th (Friday).. I actually rode the route yesturday, I was on two wheels simply cause I have felt sorry for my bike so I left the spYder parked... I must report--Here is the report---/Right now there is NO CONSTRUCTION so thats a plus.. Roads are just fine.. There are plenty of rolling hills the way to the Capital and there are plenty of curves on our return trip.. Total of 88 miles one way,, considering a few small towns we have to go through and the SPEED LIMIT being 55/65 it took me 1.5 hours one ways.. I have a bit of work to do with parking once we arrive--Not a whole lot of parking but I will have it all worked out before the 29th thats for sure.. I enjoyed the ride and it was LOTS of fun.. Oh and Len if you can post the picture I sent to you on the phone that would be cool, I don't have one of the HIGH SPEED phones you all carry, its just a normal phone--See ya soon..

Hey X-Joe, when you have this ride finalized can you please let me know the route you will be taking as you come in to Jeff City? My plan is to just wait for you all to get here to meet up with you then ride back with you all back to Cowtown.

If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. I don't have any connections here at all but I am in the area, it may or may not make things easier :roflblack:

No problem Joe.. Been talking to the Governors peeps and its possible to catch a meal with the Governor Nixon but I have to call back again on Friday the 8th and they will have the final word at that time... Gonna be fun either way you look at it... Lets do this....

Thought I would update everyone on this ride (hopefully X-Joe won't mind). Due to some unforeseen circumstances, X-Joe won't be able to head up this ride and has asked me to take over. I am from Jefferson City and know the area so that is good at least :D

I will say that normally when riding with my friends I tend to stay towards the back of the pack and just follow instead of leading, mainly due to the fact that they all ride 2 wheels. This ride is pretty straightforward so I see no issues in leading the group, other than keeping myself from my normal heavy right wrist action when riding :roflblack:

I am still waiting to hear whether the planned lunch with the governor is happening or not. If not, there are many nice places to eat in and around Jefferson City.

That's about it for now. I hope that this slight change in who will be leading the ride doesn't discourage anyone from joining in. I promise to be on good behavior and have no problems going with what most in the group wants as far as pace of the ride, where to stop for gas or breaks if needed, where to eat, etc.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!:D

No problem there should not be any confusion since you are both named Joe. On a serious note thanks for stepping up to the plate, one thing about the Mo Gang we are a team and work together. Look forward to seeing you again, Thanks.

You beat me to it Joe.. thank you so much, it looks PERFECT.. Still no email from the gov. office as far as lunch.. It sounded promising when I was lining this one up but it seems as though they DROPPED OFF THE END OF THE EARTH there... Not sure of your schedule Joe but maybe, just maybe you can run by there and speak to a guy by the name of Ian Dunlap in the BIG house.. I sent you the info for the tour and all I am assuming you got it.. Anyway spYderlovers I will be attending but not near as much as I have been planning to.. Sorry for the inconvience.. You will see me for sure on Thursday night doing the whole DJ/karaoke thing so,, be prepared to do a bit of karaoke that night, books will be passed out in order for you to pick your favorite hit.........

X-Joe

Sorry to inform you all but the Gov. will not be able to have lunch with us, just got a email from his schedular it reads:

Joe,

I apologize for not getting right back to you. I wanted to let you know that the Governor will be travelling on the 29th and unfortunately will not be here at the Capitol. If there are any changes or any ways that he could make it down I will let you know.

Sincerely,

Ian Dunlap
Office of the Governor

So there you have it, let enjoy the ride, the laughs, the Capital Tour and Lunch.. Not long now--see ya all soon..

PS: Joe looks as though you do not need to go to the capital to check this out, BUT--You probably want to run over there and check out the parking lots..
