Spyder used as police vehicle

This was in latest edition of Law and Order magazine. They have a yearly contest showcasing the designs of police vehicles. Now if only my department would let me outfit one of these!

Barboursville, WV


This design was chosen and adapted to the brand new Can-Am Motorcycle. The colors are the same as older designs except that with a more visible yellow instead of gold. Reflective material was used to enhance safety and visibility. The administration, as well as road patrol units, was involved with the design. The final product feels like it is a professional, easily identifiable, and unique vehicle for traffic enforcement officers.



Judges’ comments: This design is ultra-modern and fresh for motorcycle patrol.

with the leo using the spyders they could arrest 1 person and transport them to the lock-up cuff each hand to the handgrips and if its cold they can turn on the heated grips and off they go.

Thanks for all the welcoming comments! Now what can we do about the current temperature of 4 degrees??? Seems to be crimping my riding style! Might have to change out the blanket covering the Spyder to an electric blanket....

Prisoner Transport

Don't think keeping hands warm would a problem if they left it running,
