998cc Spyder ST won't start after connecting battery...

Hello guys.
Looking for some advise. My spyder St ltd won't start.
I connected fully charged battery ( nearly new ) after 1.5 months not to touching my spyder and when turning key on is nothing happen on dashboard. Even main screen is off.
Only cooling fan start working and front lights are on. Have no idea where to look for the problem..

check all your connections make sure there clean and tight, and while your there put some star washers under the bolts on the battery! If that don't do it your battery is gone, you can have it load tested but you said it took a long time to charge, that would tell me it,s time for a new battery!! Oh make sure your kill switch is not on!!!:yikes: not going to tell you why I added that one:banghead:

Thanks for your reply. It was very helpful, problem sorted. Battery cable was rusty in one place. After proper cleaning everything back to normal.
