• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder runs great after 20 minutes cut it off and battery is dead.

I have changed battery and changed r/r. Also tested stator and tested to specs. Cleaned all ground wires on frame and to battery. Puzzled as to what the problem is on the spyder.

Replace the main relay. There may be short elsewhere, but it is a place to start. Sounds like the relay heats up and disconnects only to reset after it cools.

Any chance you have a bad battery, A battery with a bad cell will take a full charge, But it won't hold it after a start or two.

How old is the battery? What type and year is the Spyder? How long did you charge the battery?

Sounds like an issue with the charging system. I would have the dealer test the charging system before buying another battery.

Is Spyder new/new to you or a new problem? Any new electric installations or since you have owned it? As far as testing, have you compared voltages of the battery when Spyder is running and not running? It should send about 14 volts to the battery when running. After that and with Spyder not running/key turned off, remove a lead and connect the DC amp function of the meter between the lead and battery to see what the amp reading is. I didn't notice what machine you have, but should only be a minimal current running the clock for starters. Start pulling fuses from both fuse boxes, then relays. After that, start wiggling wires and look for exposed conductor where insulation may have rubbed away on the frame. Watch the meter while wiggling the wires, you may have to comb over every inch on wire.
