• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder Riders in Prescott, AZ

Pretty much local. We ride a lot to Flagstaff then also Cottonwood, Cornville, etc. I want to start extending our distance a bit. Frankly, it's just been too darned hot to do much of any riding the past few months, which is why we tend to go up to Flag and we ride pretty early. We haven't ridden to Prescott since I don't particularly feel like riding on I 17 and haven't yet gone over Mingus mountain. Do you head up to Jerome? Maybe we could meet there sometime and grab a bite since it is about 1/2 way.

Mingus mountain is a great ride. We live in Chino Valley and Jerome is one of our favorite rides. The other is down to Congress or Bagdad.

I agree about the heat! I would not like riding on I-17 either. I am just checking to see who in the area is available for riding. I have not purchased the Spyder yet and am speculating on what to expect when I finally do. I will need to sell my SxS first. I will post here when/if I finally pull the plug on the Spyder. Thanks for your reply.

Prescott Spyder rider here (willow creek Rd). If you pull the plug, hit me up, any excuse to ride.

Looking for Chino Valley/Prescott riders

Hi,

I see that you live in Chino Valley, and I am not far from you. I live off Outer Loop Road. I just acquired a Spyder RTL. I am looking for anyone that rides a Spyder with their wife.
We plan to do a lot of local riding until next spring when we will start doing some long distance riding. What is your situation?

Terry Allen

We are both retired and can ride almost anytime. One of my favorite short rides is Williamson Valley Road north till the pavement ends and them back into Prescott. We do this one a lot when we just want to kill an hour or so. Sometimes we will take Fair Oaks Rd up through the ranch land. Like I mentioned in another thread, Jerome, Congress, and Bagdad if we want a longer ride. Also Payson is a nice day ride. If we want to spend night out then we will go on to Showlow. We also usually do at least one 2 week trip every year.

:oldpost: This thread goes back to 8/2023.

I will let it run to see if more interest is generated. It might be good to start a NEW thread on the subject so you can be sure of current info.
