• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Paint SIT REP

I mentioned the paint work that I was going to have done a little while ago, and thought I should give you guys an update. I'll be taking it back to Tallant's next week sometime for striping, but I think it is looking good so far. I'm pretty happy with the results so far. I think the silver pen stripe will separate the colors a bit better, and help the other silver parts on the Spyder fit in a little better.

Wow, nice job!! Real pretty color. I like how the underside of the body and fenders are a darker shade. Striping will add even more to it. Very nice!!

I like that blue and the way you kept the front fenders black but yet imo they need something maybe a blue pin stripe down the center. IDK or where you planning on something :dontknow: maybe spyder stickers on each.

That is really sweet looking...I think too many people cheapen the look of the bike by trying to be overly creative...what you did is gorgeous, IMHO...there is another here who went with a Sapphire-like color...blue is a great choice!

I had an 04 ST1300 in a color almost exactly like that, and was thinkin of using it somewhere on the Spyder. Nice job. Looks good!

I liked the black fender look from the moment I saw Lamonster's front fender pics. Looks great with the blue, very classy. My only reservation is the same one I have for fenderless Spyders, poorer rear visibility. Light that baby up! I highly recommend No Magic Neon's taillight, looks like something the factory forgot, and as an added bonus, is more visible to the sides in the daylight than the stock taillights. Magic's Triple Play, Mudflap Lights, and other products can make the lighting situation even better, and none subtract from that simple and clean look you have achieved.

I agree with Scotty. :2thumbs: Get the Magic lights and light it up. I have them and it does make a big difference. I really like the shade of blue. It looks really nice.

Lookin' good!

I like the new paint job on your Spyder. The weather is getting much nicer to ryde so I hope I get to see it soon. I'll stick my hand way out the window and wave if I see you (unless I'm on my Spyder, too). What's the next modification after the pin striping?

No future mods as of yet. I think i did well getting approval from the family accountant. :yikes: She is far more fiscally responsible than myself, so this project was kind of a shocker.

I took it back to Tallant's tonight to get the striping done. It should be ready for pick-up tomorrow late afternoon. I'm pretty excited to see the results.

On a side note: I've spoken with some of the other KC area riders and hopefully when the weather is consistently warmer, we can get together.

Thanks to everyone that commented. I appreciate your feedback and opinions.

Randy,
Give me a call if you want to get a group of Kansas City riders together. You all can ride down to Spring Hill and have dinner at K&M Bar-B-Q. Afterwards, I will open my store up for an open house and Spyder get together.
