• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Owners at Chicago Cycle Show

So as not to have to fight the crowds, I went to the cycle show at Rosemont on Friday afternoon (courtesy of BRP). The complimentary tickets stated that there would be a special "event" on Saturday for all registered owners, so I'm curious to know, if any owners were at the show on Saturday and what the "special event" was? :dontknow:

I expect the "special event" at the Chicago show will be (was) the same as it was at the DC show that I attended. Basically there are BRP reps there that explain the 2013 models and go over the differences between the models. Also they give all actual Spyder owners at the event a gift...our gift was a white Can Am cap. It was interesting and a chance to talk with other owners and non-owners with questions. I enjoyed the show and the BRP special event.

Yep, that's what happened at Chicago also. Our riding club (Woodstock Spyder Ryders) had about 25 people at the booth most of the day talking to visitors. Most people liked talking to an actual owner to get the straight scoop even if we were a bit more enthusiastic than the BRP folks. (We ryde more than they do)..
