Was riding my other bike yesterday (actually the Triumph Tiger is mine, Spydie belongs to my lovely bride). I often ride to work and use my lunch hour to run errands. Sometimes I ride the Tiger, sometimes Spydie. Wifey doesn't ride Spydie enough and it's bad to let engines sit without running for too long -- at least that's what I tell her! The local grocery has great deli sandwiches and it's close to work, so I usually stop by on my way back to the office to grab one.
While I'm standing at the counter, helmet in hand, all my gear on, a gal walks up and asks, "Hey, are you the guy that was riding that three-wheel thingy the other day?"
Good god, you don't even have to be riding it -- they remember!
Wound up spending ten minutes discussing the Spyder with her. She says her son is very interested in getting one and wanted to know if it was "safe" or not... Hmmmmm. Mom never bought me anything like a Spyder!
I wonder how long it'll be before the celebrity wears off...
Regards,
Mark
