• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The spyder came back from over haul at dealer after my auto pilot, self acceleration scare.:2thumbs:

But a new thing I notice that never happen before is when I shut the spyder off the same way I use to with e-stop first, and then the key switch last that the dash LCD numbers/letters go off but the back lights stay on for almost 10 second. Then you hear a click, and it shut off.

Is this something to worry about?

Is BRP able to adjust all these relay point through the ECU, and they just added some logic to keep a relay point energized a few seconds longer.

Parts replaced:

1. complete clutch assemble
2. throttle positioning sensor
3. shifting valve
4. idle adjustment
5. reprogramming

Mine has always done that. I believe the accessory power plug along with the power to the dash stays on for a period of time after you shut the key off.

Normal operation, oh and your parts list don't look like a complete over haul too me? Maybe saying everything in the most negative manner possible about the spyder make you feel better:dontknow::gaah:

Hey, take it easy. It may not be a complete overhaul, but it is a substantial repair. Nater1, hope your Spyder behaves from here on out. looks like the dealer was pretty responsive and quick for a major repair. Took me a little while to notice the dash display thing, too.

Yep dealer, and BRP took care of some issues. Put 300 miles on it seems ok.

Jedd if what I said about over haul, and replacing a basket of parts along with testing every thing on the Spyder is a negitive statement you have no clue on what customer service is. I feel they did a great job at customer service. There was a serious problem with my bike, and they attend to not leave one stone not turned to ensure I was safe.
The dealer did a great job, and BRP engineering was very concerned so they touched base with dealer through every task performed on it from what the service representive told me.
I like that dealer that I plan to purchase my snow machine this fall from them even though they are not the lowest price around. I am getting the picture the dealers customer service sells the equipment they retail, and not the price.
