• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder as a Police bike

Don't be surprised if you are pulled over by a spyder with lights and sirens. I got to drive one today that has been equipped with all equipment but the siren and it was a blast!

I've heard about other Police departments considering the Spyder. It would make perfect sense, especially with saddle bags to carry extra gear and electronics that officers need and use. I would love to see it! I think a black & white version with lights and sirens would look bad-ass! Not to mention adding that much more credibility to the Spyder. What better kudos can you have for a brand new vehicle than for the cops to want it for themselves!!

As soon as we got our Spyder, I mentioned to my wife that it would make a neat police version. My BMW R1100RT is a former CHP bike, and I love the back & white color scheme. It would be striking on a Spyder, too. You are right about the bags, and radio box, however. It would also need more wind protection, like an F1 windshield, as standard. One thing for certain, if you didn't notice one of those chasing you, you would probably be blind.

This bike had everything needed but the siren. Plenty of room in the beemer bags, plus there was an additional bag on the back. The motor guy said he didn't like it for duty because of the terrain we work in but he liked the overall bike. It definetely has a use in departments that are more urban. Some of the guys would not even get on it due to their egos! The bike was painted black and white and it was a great looking bike. It's on loan for a week so I will try to get a picture of it before it heads to another department and post it here.

:cop: :cop: :cop: :cop: :cop: :cop:Very Cool I'm sure there will be a Touring Model down the Pike in the future and looking forward to that :spyder:

I live in Colorado. I have heard of one agency so far here in the state that is actually getting them. Not sure if mine is. I know this will be a big surprise, but the only complaint so far was the windshield not being high enough. This bike had the touring shield. I did not get a chance to see the bike again but will try to get a photo today.
