I have seen several persons noting that they have limited to no availability of a Spyder dealer in their area. I live in Manitoba (Canada) and there is only one Spyder here. Next door, in Saskatchewan, there are only two. Between Winnipeg (where I live) and Toronto, Ontario there are no Spyder dealers. Obviously I and others have concerns about parts and/or service availability. That means hundreds and thousands of kilometers between BRP Spyder "people".
Now for the good news! Remember that BRP also makes Skidoo snowmobiles. In Manitoba there are many. Same with Saskatchewan and plenty between here and Toronto. South of the border, in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana as examples, there are many Skidoo dealers all over the place.
So ... if you're out on the road and something happens, don't just check for Spyder dealers to help you out. Also look to see where the nearest Skidoo dealer is. You can definitely get parts, and we all know that the Service Techs at these shops know about Rotax engines and will also have access to service tips/tricks directly from BRP. The Skidoo's have the BUDS system as well.
Just a thought from an olden guy.
