• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was just out in the attached garage performing my household waste disposal duties when I heard squirrel chatter. I looked out across my driveway and 2 fat grey squirrels were chasing through the trees. They jumped out of the pines and into the apple trees where a bluejay was sitting on a branch. If this is a sign, I will take it. I NEED winter to be over.

The squirrels chirpping are a sure sign of spring. None of that here yet, but the sun is now visable every day above my local mountain range. I can actually see it without having to drive into Anchorage.

The winter birds are still here (Magpies, Eagles, Ravens) but they all seem to be pretty quiet until the magic of spring happens. Last year, I saw my first Robin in early March. The jury is out so far this year.

We all need to just hang in there. Only 45 more days until April 1.

My Dad was an instructor pilot in the air force and we were stationed in Alabama and one of his pilots came in one day in February when it was about 35 outside saying its spring, springs has sprung its spring. My dad says wht are you talking about. the pilot from New York says " I just saw a Cardinal outside so its spring spring has sprung". My dad laughs and asks him" Hwere the HELL do you think they go when they go south for the winter? He siad the look on the other pilots face was geat and everyone else in the room was laughing so hard they couldn't see straight. I think his nickname became spring or cardinal, something like that.

I hope y'all are having a great day. it just reminded me of that story hearing you talk and I thought you might find it funny.
