I guess I must have dropped the rear shock spring when I installed the air ride. (any other wise ideas?) :roflblack:Rear shock spring.![]()
So that's where my spring went to!
Just kidding,
Probably road debris you picked up and it fell out when you were moving things around. Been there seen that!
:agree:Bet Thats it!It's the spring that fits on the cable where it connects to the latch to open the hood.

Did you check the parking brake cable, too?Wow, your have a good eye! I checked, mine is still there, but I compared the two and they are the same size! ( A lot closer than BRPjunkie's guess!) :roflblack:
So I checked other cables. There is still one on my seat release, but I think I know where it is from. I checked my cable that releases the back rest on the sport rack. I cannot see the end of the cable, but I bet thats where it came from, because I have to phsically push the red handle back into position to lock the back rest into place. I had that apart this Winter, so it makes sense. Looking at the other cables, I can't see how it can just fall off tho. Seems like the clip on the end should hold it in place.

I just checked and the spring in your photo will fit the rear shock on this Spyder.
There is not one on the cable, I guess. I finally got off my butt to go out and look. Probably wormed its way off your backrest cable.I did, I do not have one at the end of the cable, but I saw a much bigger return spring attached to the linkage. 3c on this parts fiche:

I don't see one on the parking brake cable for the parts fiche, but it is not visable on the hood one either, and there is one there for sure. Can someone look on thier parking brake cable and see if there is a small sping on the end of the cable itself?
update on this. The spring was from one of my Harbor Freight tools a pair of wire cutters. :roflblack:
Notice the small springs in this set:

Are you trying to give me MORE gray hairs?
Well you can always ride it and let it steer you randomly all over - maybe you'll end up at our house:2thumbs: It would almost be like the Toyota motto - with a slight twist. Moving Erractically instead of Moving Forward.
