Man what a day. I called Sam to see if he still wanted to try and hookup in the area he was at. I asked him if he had ever been to Wheels Through Time and he hadn't so we decided to meet there between 10:30 and 11am. Not long after I hung up with him it started raining here. :sour: I told him I was going to be there so I was going to be there rain or no rain. I hate leaving for a ride in the rain but I feel a lot better doing it on the Spyder as opposed to a bike.
It was kinda hot so all I put on was a rain jacket and that's it. My pants got wet but not too bad and it helped keep me cool. Took me about 2 hours or so to get there and when I did Sam was nowhere to be found. :dontknow: I called and he said that it's raining here, and I said yea I just drove two hours in it, so where are you? I thought you were a real biker.
:doorag:
He said he was an hour away and he was leaving right now. I hungout with Dale while I was waiting and watched some killer videos he did about building these old bikes from the ground up. It was time well spent seeing this is the last year Dale will be in Maggie Valley.
Sam showed up and I showed him around a bit and then Dale invited us back to his shop to see some of the project bikes he has going. Not too many guys get to go back to his shop so that was cool. :doorag: This is an old board racer he fired up for us. :doorag:
From there we decided to ride to Deals Gap and get some lunch. This was the last pic I got for the day as we were getting ready to leave WTT.
We had a nice spirted ride to the Gap and had a great lunch. From there we headed back down 28 and took some video. I hope Sam will post that for us here. All in all it was a really good day, little wet but still good. :doorag::thumbup::spyder::spyder:
