• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sound/Intercom Systems

I see that J&M makes an adapter for their helmet sound system that adapts to the Can Am. Does anyone use this setip? Do you still have to have a push to talk for the passenger? Does the JM system work well and with all features with the Can Am? I already have the CB and intertainment harness installed? Thanks.

J&M headsets and adapters

I have the J&M headsets and find that they have good sound quality. There is two parts to each headset. The first is the earphones that fit in the helmet and the second part is the lower adapter cable that connects the headset to the spyder outlet. There are two kinds of lower cables. One of the cables is for the driver and the other is for the passenger. The difference between the two is that the passenger cable has a built in push to talk switch which is necessary for CB use. Your post says that you have the CB and intertainment harness installed. I am assuming that includes the communication package as this is also necessary. As long as the J&M headsets provide good sound, say from the radio, all other audio features should be OK. If there is a problem, it is probably in the communication package or in the PC setup which you can change through the control panel.

Thanks for the reply. If I understand you correctly the PTT for the passenger cable is only needed for CB use? We should be able to converse via intercom without using PTT? We are coming from a Gold Wing and it was so much simpler. Again, thanks,'
