Is it mostly fixed-wing aircraft, or helicopters?
Would a gyro-copter be a viable way to get around up there?

Piper and Cessna type small planes are the most seen. Big wheels or floats enabling them to land in places that would scare the average person.

I believe (from a previous post) that gyro copters are limited to about a gallon of fuel--therefore limiting their range. The open air concept would be a real bummer in inclement or cold weather--which we have a lot of.

The last Frontier flyers are a special breed and there are many inherent dangers that go with it.

Not really. The cost and upkeep of a private plane is way above my pay scale. At least, I can afford to have a pair of :ani29:'s, so I will stick with that.
