• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Some people are just sad..

Some riding friends and I traveled up from Charlotte to Quantico to visit the USMC and the Space museums last week, three bikes and my brand new RT Ltd ( July 16). Came out of the USMC center to find that some lowlife had smeared gum over the rear fender, and kicked the right hand side rear light out. Some other 'bikers' were just leaving, perhaps they didn't appreciate my Spyder being there... Lowlife, but sadly no cameras working ..

She goes in for the 3000 mile service next week, the Dealer will also carry out the laser alignment and replace the whole light cluster.

Not a great day:mad:

 I'm sorry to hear that you ended up in the sights of a true :cus:-Bag... :banghead:
With no proof of exactly who did what to your bike: you'd have to report it as a vandalism claim, and your Comprehensive deductible would apply. :gaah:

I'm sorry to hear this. I'd like to think that it wasn't the bikers that did it, as I have always held that we are an honorable breed who respect one another regardless of what we ride. However, there are bad grapes in every bunch.

Karma's a Bitch!

My feelings exactly. Would not expect that kind of crap from military affiliated--but scum can be found in every batch. Hope the perpetrator gets double the Karma back.:yes:

There is a small % of Harley owners that really dislike the Spyder's---especially if you call it a motorcycle even though a motorcycle license is required to ride it in most states. Sad they resort to vandalism & I feel your pain. Worse for me was getting into a strong verbal argument parking it in the motorcycle area at the Veteran's Admin hospital---the VA police came out & straightened out his Harley attitude. I remember having a Porsche 911 Targa & no matter how far I parked it away from other cars in a shopping/grocery store lot---someone would park their piece of crap within 6" of my driver side door. Envy is a terrible inflictionnojoke All the lunny's aren't locked up in the lunny bin.:(

When somebody just HAS to say something like 'Why don't you get a REAL bike?": Give them the biggest smile that you can pull up from the depths and say, "I do have a real bike... with pedals and all! I just use this one to pass the time. Maybe YOU should get a 'real bike' too!"

They just won't know what to say back... :D

Unfortunately the USMC Museum attracts some great folks as well as folks from the other end of the spectrum. Have taken out of town visitors there many times and only had an issue once - broken window looking for valuables. I hope you filed a police report - helps get funding to add cameras and other security upgrades.

I suppose it doesn't help our situation when I park on a downhill slope near a harley trike while pulling my trailer, and then smile and wave at them while I reverse out rather than do the push back grunt.

Sorry for the off-topic post here, but I've just gotta say... Patti, I LOVE your new signature pix.

To MartinRedcoat... I really feel bad that happened to your new RT. That just stinks beyond belief.

Like others have said, karma will retaliate. The Spyder is not trying to be anything but what it is. Like the slogan says. Riding reinvented! I hope your insurance covers the damage.

Yeah, not a place that would usually draw an (-:|3 (asshat) but, guess it can happen. I had a kid maybe 18 shake his head in disapproval at me last week. I chuckled because he was driving what looked to be his grandma's four door chevy something or something. He has time, but a true (-:|3 at this point in his life. :D
