• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sold my Spyder

I wanted to take a minute and say thank you to everyone on this site. I bought our Spyder so my wife could ride with me when I ride my motorcycle. She never really got comfortable ryding it. It was a wonderful machine. I never had 1 problem with it. I just would hate to see it sit in my garage and collect dust so that's why I decided to sell it. It only had 3K miles on it. Next Spring I'm going to also sell my Honda and by the Triumph Thunderbird I have wanted so my wife and I can ride 2 up. This site has been awesome with information!! I'll look in time to time. You all ryde safe!!!!:2thumbs:

Best of luck. I originally bought my Spyder for the same reason and got the same results as you. Theonly differance is that Shirley really likes riding on the Spyder--can't get her on 2 wheels of any type--so we're keeping ours. :shemademe_smilie:

Sorry to hear that you selling the :spyder2:. :congrats: on you new ride though. Keep the wife happy, that is very important.

Good luck with your purchase next spring and I hope you told the new owner of the spyder about spyderlovers.

You know you can bring a Triumph to Spyderfest next Spring you would bewelcome anyway. If my new Ducati comes in before Spyderfest it may make the trip instead of the Spyder.....figure I'll be able to find it easier in the parking lot amongst the other 400+ Spyders :ohyea:

You don't have to ride a Spyder to stay and join in the fun. Two wheelers haven't been banned...yet. Do the new owner a favor and pass the web site info on to them.

Heck, I've got more posts on this site than I do on the VTXOA site.

Hang around...:doorag:

Well the bright side - you made someone else happy with the Spyder and now you and the wife will get to spend some quality time together 2 up! I used to ryde mine all the time and HDX would ride his Harley but then he got a new Harley which is like really comfy and with tunes and stuff so I ride with him now. I still ryde the Spyder but only when he's at work and I wanna go out. Other than that, me and HDX have opposite work schedules so when weekends come and if he's off, I'll ride 2 up with him so we can talk and spend some time together.

Those Triumphs are nice!

Chillirider - The best Triumph Thunderbird web site is this one:

The T-Bird is a great bike. You'll love it!

Holy Shnikies, that is a beauty! Too bad about the Spyder but someone will enjoy it. Best of luck with the Triumph! Stay in touch and let us know how it's going. Looks to me like you have chosen well!
