• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So .... My wife saw .....

The trunk option for the new F3 and mentioned how handy it looked ...... I let her know what the cost would be .... and she was sad ..
:gaah:..

After a little research, I was able to come up with this ;

First, I opened up the back and fabricated this rack/frame work.

Then I added a trunk I got from amazon.

It's pretty sturdy with a nice locking mechanism and a molded in handle.

She can unlock it and carry it in like a suitcase.

While I was in there I added a few extra LED's for added visibility and a flashing 3rd brake light (for extra visibility).
Threw some paint on the rack and I have a happy wife again ...:yes::yes::yes:

And all of that for less than $200 :clap::clap::clap:

That's my story and I'm sticking to it ....:shocked::yikes::shocked:

Well done....

That turned out amazingly well. :2thumbs: congrats...we do love the diy'ers and their ideas. :clap:sure she is happy...:yes:

Outstanding work

Great job, and the tailbox seems like great value. I looked it up on Amazon and was amazed at the size and functionality for the price. I'd love to find this kind of value in hard side bags for an F3.
