Well I finally got up the guts to brave the cold garage and put on my new belt tensioner I bought from Jim at Smoothspyder. Even in the cold weather it took me a total of 30 minutes to mount and adjust. It is very easy. I jacked the Spyder up and tested it with and without the tensioner doing its thing and the vibration was greatly reduced. I can't take it on a road test due to snow and cold but the vibration was, as I said, greatly reduced or eliminated as I ran it up to that dreaded 4-5000 rpm range. I would think it would only be improved with me sitting on the Spyder and the Spyder on the road. The product that Jim provides looks to be very robust and impressive. I look forward to many miles of vibration reduced enjoyment. BTW, I have it set at 11 lbs on the scale provided.
