SmoothSpyder Belt Tensioner vs. Baker Bilt Belt Stabilizer

Does anyone know if these products do the same thing? One is a tensioner and one is a stabilizer, but I'm not sure if they accomplish the same thing. For example, if you pick up a stone, do they both help avoid damage to the belt and sprocket? Just curious since I am not familiar with either product, but there seems to be positive reviews of each one in the forums. Thanks.

I installed the SmoothSpyder Belt Tensioner to help reduce belt induced vibrations. I believe the Baker product is designed to do the same. However neither will help avoid belt/sproket damage from picking up a stone.
