• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jim,
Any chance you are working on a rack that attaches on your back rest and can be use while the rest is in the rider or passenger position????

Would be very nice to have the extra space for luggage or to secure extra gear on...

thanks,
DJ

ps. Still enjoying the backrest!!!!

LUGGAGE RACK

Check out Baker Bilt Air Wings on the home page. They have just what you are looking for. I have the SmoothSpyder backrest on my F3 and the luggage rack from Baker Bilt.

I went to the Baker Bilt's webpage and I see nothing for the Spyder's.

Am I missing something?
Can you provide a direct link to the luggage rack you are referring to?

image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpgYes, that is nice but I am hoping for one that attaches onto the arms of the smooth spyder backrest.

Jim and I spoke about it at the Owner's Event in Daytona and again at Spyder Gathering last weekend. Are you looking for something that could be used in both positions? With the swing of the arms that is a bit more difficult. I was looking at an idea the would be mostly for use when the backrest was in the driver position. Problem is I think the max depth (front to rear) could only be about 9" before it blocked the limited rear lighting we already have. It could be about 14" wide without obstructing anything. I think if you add a 6" piece that lays flat in the drivers position but rotates out perpendicular to the rack in the passenger position you could still strap in a bag. Have started working on a mock up but that is as far as I have gotten.
