I would like to get an idea of how many Texas folks plan on going to Gatlinburg.

We (my wife and I), of course, would like to ride with others (safety and more fun in numbers).

I'm sure there will be many arrival/depature schedules for different folks, but it's not to early to start talking about it, is it?

While I'm not from Texas.. I can tell you that many of us will be staying at the Red Roof inn gatlinburg.

Already have rooms booked. Walking distance to good bar, corner store, etc. Only 1 mile from entrance to Smokies National park.... $50 a night.. and away from most of the hustle and bustle!

Sounds like a GREAT idea! I went ahead and booked at the Red Roof Inn, as per your PM I would like to travel on your dates for Safety, but looks like hubby on the Harley can get away too. So all I need now is to clear with boss.:2thumbs:

Well I agree always a good time talking about Smokies, I use to live in Tenn. and was close to Smokies, I now live in S. Carolina But my heart is still in Smokies.

Is that T for Tenn. or T for Texas...lol...freebob...:doorag:

We own a condo at Gatlinburg Chateau so we will be staying in our condo. The management agency has several units they rent out for home owners. These units have 2 bedrooms with two baths, a kitchen, living room, fireplace and balcony. Just one block off Parkway and easy walking to most restaurants and shops.
