• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have rubber lever end thingies (RLETs) on my CB1100. (And now my F3-S!) They used to come with older motorcycles. I think they look cool. They cost around $3.25 each from any Honda dealer.

Part of the fun with these is they are super hard to install, unless you know the trick. Some people claim installing these is a rite of passage. The trick is to squirt a 50/50 solution of rubbing alcohol and water inside the RLET while keeping the outside dry. The inside then becomes super slippery and you just pop it over the lever end. It takes me about a minute to do one. The very first one I did, before I knew the trick, took almost an hour.

Anyways, I see lots of super expensive farkles out there so I thought I'd share a cheap one, especially since people with the SM5/SM6 are in the minority. Not only do we get more control but we get cool rubber lever end thingies!

More info about RLETs can be found here: https://www.google.com/search?q=site:cb1100forum.com+rlet

I used to put leverskins on my bikes. They're neoprene also, but don't have the knob included in them...
Perhaps a set of each, would give a truly custom look?

As I remember...

aluminum writes like a pen/pencil when rubbed on a wall. It is also slick and slippery. Many off road bikes had no kickstands so they were leaned againt the walls on the levers then slide down leaving streaks and your bike crashing on the ground. There was also the hand slipping off the lever thing. So they came up with these...:roflblack::roflblack: sounds good anyway, oh and if you were paying attention they stopped putting them on when they dog legged the levers...
