• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I love my sirius satellite radio in my car. I want to use the same radio and mount a base to my RT. I asked on the general board and several folks said that I could do it. My question is how and what would I need.

PS - We are new riders and have had our RT for 5 days had have 200+ miles. We love it!!!!

Sirius Satellite Radio on your RT

It's really quite simple. I installed portable Sirius receivers on both my wife's and my 2010 RT. You will need this accessory connection. You can most likely get it from your dealer or order it online. It will work though the AUX input on your electronic command center. Works great

710001406
MP3 Audio Plug. RTS
$40.99 USD
This part# was taken from the BRP online store parts page under electrical accessories. You can mount the Sirius radio receiver in your trunk. Use the 12V cigarette lighter power cord that will come with your portable receiver into the 12V power outlet in the trunk... Plug the above MP3 Audio Plug into your audio/iPod outlet. Of course you will have to mount the satellite antenna somewhere nearby. If you bought an RTS, you should already have this cable. One end fits the Spyder, the other end has a male 3.5 mm stereo headphone plug to attach to your device. 710001406..... Is the part number. Your dealer can get it for you. I hope this has helped.
