Siri Won't Respond on a 2024 F3 - any thoughts appreciated.

Picked up a 2024 F3 Ltd Special Series last week and can't get Siri voice commands to work. The headsets are working bike to bike and I'm getting directions through my headsets, but just can't get Siri to respond. The little wavy circle comes up, so she hears me, but she won't take commands. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I hope you're able to get it working, and also hope you'll tell us how you got it to work.

I have a 2024 Spyder Sea2Sky and have not been able to get directions in my headset.

Are you just saying "Hey Siri" or pressing the microphone button on the handlebar? Mine seems to work either way. Assuming the 2024 F3 has the same new digital dash as the 2024 RTs?

That being said - when I had my older Cardo Freecom 4+ headsets, it would enable CarPlay but nothing really worked very well. I got newer Chinese BT 5.2 headsets and everything works great with them.

I've tried pressing the mic button and saying "hey Siri" but neither works. I'm wondering if it's a setting in my phone, but I don't know what to try.

If you just say "Hey Siri" with your phone laying on a table for instance, does it respond that way? If not then you may need to enable Siri per the instructions racoon posted.

Just out of curiosity is your headset bluetooth 5.0

Another good thing to check. My original headsets (Freecom 4+) were only BT 4.x and they didn't work well at all with the Spyder. Replaced them with some cheap-o Gearelec headsets that use BT 5.2 and they work flawlessly.

Make sure that you are using the genuine Apple cable that came with your iPhone. Many aftermarket cables will cause problems.

I'm on my second Sena 50 (less then a month old) that uses 5.0. I've also tried 5 different USB cords including original Apple and Apple certified for CarPlay. Sometimes while phone is connected and charging CarPlay can't find my phone.

When it can't find your iPhone, I wonder if it's the cable, or the bluetooth connection to your headset/microphone dropping out? Does the iPhone disappear from the Spyder's console, or just the ACP icon grey out? Would seem unlikely to be the cable with all of them you tried, unless the cable in the glovebox itself is bad. I'm just using a cheap 6" cable I got from Amazon and so far it's working fine.

Do you know anyone with a Bluetooth 5.2/5.3 headset you could try as a test? From what I read, BT 5.2 has many improvements over 5.0. The cheap headset I got has Bluetooth 5.2 and has worked flawlessly since I got it. My older Cardo that had Bluetooth 4.2 didn't work well at all.

I know it sucks having to toss expensive hardware if that is indeed the issue. I hated my Cardos anyway even before I got my 2024 with ACP, so I was fine with replacing them with the cheap Chinese ones I am using now. Heck even the intercom between me and my wife works flawlessly with them, that rarely worked with the Cardos.

Hopefully you can find a fix. ACP has been great for me now that I have a headset that works. I use it on every ride and have had no issues since then.

When it can't find your iPhone, I wonder if it's the cable...
I've been using Apple Carplay in my 2023 Honda Ridgeline since I bought it new from the Honda dealer.
It works basically the same way, that you need an iPhone plugged into the correct USB port in the dash.

What I have found is that I need to start the Ridgeline, plug the cable into my iPhone, and then insert the cable into the USB port in the dash.
If I do it in a different order it doesn't connect, and when it doesn't connect Carplay doesn't work.
