• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I really like the mix of satin and gloss black. I'll be doing the same scheme on my Wing this summer.

Nice work. Looks great!

thanks

this stuff is pretty durable. i washed off all the bugs from last weeks rides, with a wet rag, trying not to rub real hard. it did fine, no damage at all. still looks great.

Looks Great!

I'm curious; How many coats did you end up putting on? I've done some of the pieces on my RT and used 4 coats. While the 4 coats were smooth on some parts, it was a bit rough on others. I'm thinking I'm going to add more coats which should make it smoother. Also, did you apply very light coats, or heavier coats?

dip coating

most of the parts got three coats- two light, one medium to heavy. i put four or five on the trunklid cause it came out kind of streaky after three. maybe because it's a large area. i figure the extra protection wouldn't hurt.

Extra coats should even be better; and if you don't like it or get tired of it, it's a two minute removal.
