Well, we brought her home today, and much of my whining about the dealer/insurance/registry of motor vehicles SNAFU (in a post on another thread here http://www.spyderlovers.com/smf/index.php?topic=659.msg5295;topicseen#new) was due to the fact that while I was the 18th buyer from this dealer, I was only the first one to actually drive it home! So, the dealer was still new at the game. I will say that they gave me a good deal and very friendly service--also never jacked the price up since last April... :bigthumbsup:
My lovely bride and I have to thank Lamont and everybody who contributed to this message board since last year so I was able to crawl all over that vehicle and check for cleaned rotors, proper sensor placement, tires mounted correctly, lubricated parking brake, etc, etc, etc, not to mention keeping me relatively sane while I waited the long, cold months of the empty garage.
I also have to say we met a nice couple from the other side of Vermont who drove all the way down from the Canadian border to buy a Spyder from my dealer. (Sorry I don't remember their names, but I do remember they own a big Munster's-style trike!) They hadn't heard of spyderlovers.com, so of course I demonstrated all I learned from here and what to watch out for...
On the way home, the temperature dropped ten degrees, and I tested the ABS when pheasants flew right our in front of me, but the Spyder performed beautifully. My lovely bride said everybody was getting whiplash looking at us go by!
Anyhow, to the pics:
