There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Silly Question ~ How many of you have gotten a ticket?

Yes, it is a silly question, but out of curiosity, how many :spyder2: owners / ryders have gotten a ticket for what ever reason? On a Spyder.

Let's take it even further, Men verses Women.

Moving Violation verses nonmoving.

What was the infraction?

Dismissed or final fine?

What is your story?

Yes I have been stopped... Texas ~ 77 MPH in a 70 zone. No Motorcycle endorsement, No Insurance! Received a written warning and told to drive safely, Have a good day.:yes:

Stopped on a very few occasions for minor speed infractions, or at a DWI Check Point, no tickets as far back as i can remember.

Wow Bob that is incredible. I have way too many to count in life and most of them when I was younger. I have had one in the last ten years for speeding in the Ozarks of all places. I have never had one on a bike. I have never been in an accident in any vehicle, knock on wood:banghead:.

I sell insurance; I've seen what a driving record that looks like, "Pig tracks in the snow" does to the cost of insurance.

Tickets

Never on a bike. Has been over 22 years since my last one that was a fix-it ticket, but I was speeding that time. I remember since my oldest was six months old. Now when I was younger, I plead the fifth. All I will say is I got two tickets in two different states in 24 hours for speeding, and both times they wrote down lower speeds that what I was going.

ONCE.................On the Spyder

72 in a 55. The Copper got mad at me when I got off the Spyder to get the registration and insurance card out of the trunk. He yelled at me and told me to get back on the bike. :roflblack::roflblack:

Gave the ticket to my lawyer and he got it reduced to parking on pavement (non-moving violation) with 0 points and I had to pay 250.00 for the fine and his lawyer fees.

Never admit guilt with a ticket and the less you say to the Copper the better.......

I assume we're talking Spyder tickets here..... so I'll stick to those. Car ones have not happened since I was a teenager. Have not received any tickets on my RT.

Got 4 speeding tickets on my 2008 GS Spyder. Got the last 3 of them deferred after learning how. It's not hard... FIGHT every ticket and you can get the points removed by just paying an extra fine and/or taking an online driver safety class or going the next 6 months ticket-free. Even fought out of state tickets via mail and got deferrals. Just have to call their bluff and realize all they really want is money. They'll trade points for money 99% of the time as speeding tickets are all about making money. Been pulled over a few more times and just given warnings. What can I say.... I like SPEED.

I don't tend to speed much on the RT.. usually keep it around 8 over on the highways.

Got 1 for running a red.... was a close call but probably was red... was last in line of 4 bikes that went thru... nobody else stopped for the cop... so I took one for the team.. or at least the guy in front of me as we were both really close.

And my most infamous ticket was at Spyders in the Smokey's ..... my no-helmet ticket........had to pay a fine... no points. Was shocked he didn't give me a pass on it since he was a MC cop and I honestly thought TN was a no-helmet state. Oh well..... made for some fun the next year with my dreadlock helmet!

That is something you should never talk about . It's like saying I never had a flat tire or ran out of gas. OH CRAP, I hope I just didn't curse myself.

And yes... the less you say the better. Best things to say are: Yes Sir, No Sir and Yes Sir.

Do NOT get off your bike. Turn it off. Do not remove helmet or look for your wallet or anything. Pull over. Kill engine. Keep hands in clear sight - preferably on the handlebars. ASK if you can remove your helmet or get off your bike. If you need to get into the trunk for your papers, ASK to do so.

If getting pulled over in your car.. same type of rules apply. Pull over. Engine off. Radio off. Dome light turned on at night. Both hands on steering wheel. Do NOT dig around for papers until asked to do so.

The last ticket that i got and had to pay,Was early 1965, Since then I've been stopped quite a few times, And no ticket's. That's because of my Dynamic personality', And rugged good looks, With a touch of get out of jail card. A few years ago i was pulled over going 50 in a 45 zone, With out using the card i started arguing with the officer, Saying why are you stopping me I'm only going 50, ''5'' over??, After a few minutes of that , He informed me that the speed limed was 35, He laughed about it and said watch the signs more careful in the future! Have a good day and go on your way.!

Ticketless

Never on my Spyder and no cage tickets since '91. I can't say that I didn't deserve one, however.

:agree: Zip your lip, and don't move without asking first!

50+ years driving.

O - Tickets on motorcycle

1st ticket age 16 Riverside Ca. - California stop - motorcycle LEO - camouflaged in oleander bushes. Had it coming regardless.

#2 - Abilene Texas - Speeding / 10 over - LEO (radar) escorted to the JP - paid fine in cash and released.

#3 - Speeding - way, way, over thirty miles above posted speed limit(had outrun the local helicopter), stopped by a road block which had been set up to stop us(not bragging - just the facts) - got me three days in jail - no fine.

#4 & 5 - speeding - one day apart - same radar trap - motorcycle LEO threatened my life if he caught me tomorrow(the truth I swear). (two in two days, in the same place, by the same officer is nothing to brag about - there was (to me at the time) reason for my being so inept - never mentioned that reason to the officer. When you're wrong you're wrong, and I was.

^ all under age 27

since then

#6 - unsafe lane change while pulling a trailer on the 405 freeway (setting up for transition from one freeway to another - half the lanes went one direction and the other half another -LEO said one car had to brake, which made it unsafe for them. He wrote the ticket and we talked about it - after hearing my explanation he changed his mind and said if he had it to do over again he would not have written me. Fair enough.

^ sometime back in my 40's

#7 - someday - most likely
