• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sidebag release minor annoyance

When I pull the handle to release the right sidebag, I have to give it a "whack" with my palm to get it to pop open. The left one opens just fine. It's only a minor annoyance, but I'd like to fix it. Does anyone know if there's an adjustment on the latch for this?

Thanks

Pam

There are barrel adjusters on the cables that open the bags. You can access them behind the wrap-around panel on lower part of the trunk. there are fasteners on top of saddlebags, and under trunk lid. I forget who told me exactly how to do it, but it was simple enough. These cables stretch like
saran wrap and almost immediately don't function correctly. If I can do it, I almost guarantee anyone can.

BTW... left unattended this condition will deteriorate to where maybe the "hand whack" won't do it.

:agree: x 2. I let my dealer fix mine under warranty. My left saddlebag went from hard to open to non-open. The trunk lid would not close easily either. All latches now work like new.

I've got one that require a bit of "help" as well...
Do we need to "shorten" the cable, for a little bit more pull on the latch? :dontknow:
