• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Should I be concerned.......

For the past few weeks now I've noticed something peculiar....
RS with manual transmission. 2700 miles.
First thing in the morning I start Spyder, climb on board, select reverse, back clear of the cars, stop and attempt to select first. Clearing reverse is sometimes very difficult....I can rock it backwards and sometimes reverse will clear when I ease up on the shifter. Other times it takes a bit of finaglin' (without being heavy footed) to move the shifter.
All this takes place on flat level grass. Once Spyder is warmed up, everything's OK.

Ladies and Gentlemen....your comments and thoughts would be welcome.

The same thing happens to me. I've noticed if you release the reverse lever quickly that it is then easier to shift back into first. If you try it, you may notice the lever springs back just a little further, which seems to help. I brought it to my dealer previously with that problem and he said there is no adjustment.

I sometimes clear mine by letting out the clutch a little when having a problem gettting into first from rev; you'll then see the reverse lever move ever so slightly and the spyder goes into first.

I have a 2008 SM5 with 15,600 miles.

I didn't have quite that problem, but one involving reverse. When my bike was new sometimes it
just refused to go into reverse. (sm5) No matter what I did no reverse. Not all the time, just random.
I even had to push out of a couple of parking spaces. Naturally, the bike wouldn't cooperate when at
the dealers. Mechanic said to put a few more miles on it. That did the trick. I have over 10,000 miles
and never have that problem any more. I think it was the newness/stiffness of the transmission.
