Short reach handlebars (F3 Ltd)

I am trying to mount a gps unit to the handlebars and have found that the u bolt Garmin has supplied is too short. Does anyone know how round the short reach bars are ie: 1" 1.x" etc

1-1/8" and you can take the mount to your Ace Hardware and get a U-bolt that fits. I had to do that too.
I still had to spread it open a bit.

Yup, me too. New u-bolt cost $1.90 It's a shame Garmin doesn't include u-bolts for both 1" and 1-1/8" handlebars, as most modern day ADV bikes (huge Garmin target) and tons of other bikes have 1-1/8" handlebars. For the $500 cost of a new Zumo XT, should be a no brainer..

Troop: I agree, it is a shame that Garmin doesn't provide both sized u-bolts with the gps unit, alas it is most likely a typical big business penny pinching strategy to save on costs!
