• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

She's simply irresistible

I love the exposed shaft drive.
The first time someone's loose bag strap gets wrapped up in it I'll bet they'll rethink having it exposed. There's a reason OSHA won't allow open turning shafts on anything humans come in contact with.

Yeah, I think its on sale.
I decided to Google it. It was launched less than a week ago. Here's the YT video. Several comments about how the production model is somewhat blah compared to the Concept model from a year ago and that you link to. From what I read it's priced about $18000 US.

Wow, how retro is that, replica after the 'old' R5, this thing is a beast...... Not sure far it will go on that tear drop fuel tank, those jugs will suck up some serious fuel.

There was a time when I would have taken a lot of interest in the R18. And I did have a Kawi 2000 for about a year. I do love those classic BMW lines. Tried a 650 back in 78, but turned out to not fit me. I have short inseams. Kawi won out that time.

My only concern is those big cylinders sticking out without protection of a roll bar. That could get messy, but the bars would be very ugly IMO.

Going to leave that to my dreams this time.

I wonder if they are offering "heat shielded boots" as an option.....:yikes: ..... Jim
roflmao on first look, you would think that necessary, but after riding BMWs for over 400K miles since 1977, I can honestly say they don't run nearly as hot on the feet and lower legs as appearances would dictate.
