• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shad top cases and Baker Built luggage racks

Mine worked great! I have the Shad 58x so it expands quite a bit. I used it for our cross country trip this summer, and I really liked being able to use the case like a suitcase, though when we were staying somewhere for only a single night, I tended to leave it on and just pull stuff from it.

The only issue is putting the bracket for the Shad box on the Baker Built rack. It wasn't hard, but I sort of fiddled around with a bunch of things before I felt it was secure. The brackets that came with the Shad didn't work well—we had to straighten them out a bit to stretch across the gaps in the Baker Built rack. But, it has stayed put for 7,000 miles, so it worked okay.

The first two pics show the Shad in place (please ignore the dust from my dirt road). The last pic is from our trip, and you can see the Shad mounting bracket on the Baker Built rack.
