• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sena SM10 synching to a Scala Q1

I'm a recently purchased (May '13) a '12 RT - Ltd and had the Sena SM10 blue tooth dongle installed. I also purchased the Scala Q1. I am able to synch them fine and they work fine, but when I synch my cell phone (Iphone 4s) I am unable to switch to the Sena. Does anyone have experience with these two systems and able to offer advice/suggestions on this? thanks...Tim

I can't speak to the Scala Q1, but with my Sena SMH-10, I had to sync my phone as a handsfree device, and the SM-10 as a media device. I suspect when you paired your iPhone, it paired as a media device (IPod) instead of just a handsfree phone.

At the risk of sounding way too naive...is that a feature I change on the iphone or on the dongle?

the SM10 will always pair as a media device. the iPhone should have a setting in the bluetooth settings to pair as a media device, or phone - handsfree. I'm comparing it to my android phone.

OK - I'll give that a try. I've also got a note into tech support at Scala to see if they have any suggestions (no response yet)....if this doesn't work - I'll rattle their cages a bit more.

Thanks for your help!
