Sena has been advertising a full-face helmet with noise cancelling technology for quite a while now - perhaps two years. It's a neat concept - active noise cancelling for sounds like road noise, yet sudden sounds (like ambulances and police sirens) get through.

However, all I can get on the website is "coming soon" and it's waaaay to late for that to be true. In the winter of 2016 I called them and they told me spring of 2016, in the fall of 2016 they told me the winter of 2017. I'm guessing they're running into issues in some states where cancelling road noise won't pass legal muster.
I've put off a new helmet decision for a while now waiting for this product, and I think I'm giving it up. I've tried "Eargasm" plugs, and I've settled on "Adept" ear plugs as the best solution I can find to prevent hearing damage (I suspect I've suffered a bit of hearing damage by riding for the past 12 years without consistently using hearing protection). These are fairly comfortable and do a good job of canceling road noise but letting me hear music (over the Spyder's speakers) and I can use my Sena helmet communicator.
Anyone know anything about the Sena helmet? What are you doing for ear protection?
