seeing the F3 dash in bright sunlight

My husband has had his F3 for over a month now and is loving it! I ryde the RTs and I love my ryde as well! But on a sunny day, the RT instrumentation is shielded by a small "hood." The F3 does not have that "hood" and he says it's hard to see the lcd screen. Does anyone else have this problem? And have you figured out a way to fix it short of duct taping a cardboard "hood" onto the dash? (very tacky!!!) :lecturef_smilie:
