• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

October 11,12,13 Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point Ky. Largest military gun show and machine gun shoot in the USA. My son and I will be there all three days. West Point is just outside Shepardsville on Hwy 44. If you are in the area it is a great example of our freedoms. Every hour 60 shooters shoot their machineguns for 30 minutes for three days. Hope to see you there. Ron.

Sounds like fun! I got to shoot some cool guns (besides the ones I had to qualify with) in Afghanistan when I was there. I got moved around quite a bit, and we were almost always collocated with some coalition military, or they were at their own base nearby. I got to shoot a British Enfield (the current issue bullpup one) at KAF while I was working the Kandahar AO; an H & K G36 and the Herat ISAF base; and a P90 at the Tirin Khowt PRT range, an RPG with the ANP recruits (didn't kick anywhere near as hard as I thought it would), and my company had issued me (I was the head of the site security team) a PKM which I ran 100 rds through because we had bou coup ammo for it. I did a big favor for one of the Army NCOs at the Kandahar RTC.......................as repayment he was going to let me bust off 25 rounds on an M2 HB .50 cal..............., but the morning of the appointed day, some :cus: jumped off; his unit had to respond to, then his unit moved elsewhere. :( Anyway..........................enjoy your shoot!

M60, 50Cal, 14 and carried a 16 F/auto. One of the McNamara specials, only lode 18 in the mag any more and it would jam first round.. But my favorites though not a rifle, Were the LAW, and The Willey Peter grenade, and lets not forget the night ambush Claymore.. That one if you weren't careful would get you coming and going...nojoke

Ah yes, forgot about the Mattel M16. I too preferred the M14. Now back in use by the military as a sniper rifle and close support weapon. Friend of mine was a sniper in Viet Nam. He used an M1.
