• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I purchased a CARDO SCALA G9 head-set back in May of 2012 http://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider/scala-rider-g9 ...
i'm on my 3rd unit ( thx to the warrantee)... the 2 previous units burnt out... :gaah: got'a say, the CARDO reps are gr8 guys, but i'm worried about their product....

have any of you had the same issues with yours...????

We're good

Bought our set about the same time. One of the set was bad right out of the box and returned. Once we got the replacement we have been good ever since. We are tied to phone and GPS on our 2012 RT Limited.
Sorry to hear you are having such a failure rate.

My wife & I have the Cardo Scala Team set Pro because we always ride 2 up. Bought them over a year ago & they have worked great. A few problems with Bluetooth calls, but overall very satisfied with their product. It's good you had the warranty.

They seem to have problems with new products. I sent back a pair of new G-4's that did not work. Stuck with my old G'2s until this year when I moved over to Sena.

glitches

yea we have had glitches with our the first set was returned but this one has worked OK loose contact with wife or drop calls but not to often.;)

Interesting thread!

We bought a set of Scalas and our first set ended up being returned as they didn't work as advertised.

After using the G-9's for about a year we finally bought a set of Sena SMH10's that are much superior in terms of ease of operation, battery life and reliability.

The old G-9's are in my trailer, gathering dust.

Purchased a single unit earlier this year, for use when riding the KTM. No problems to date. In general, I'm not overly impressed with the G9, but will stick with it till it dies.

No problem..!!

we had the team set pro which worked great but gave them to our son for him and his now bride to be. Replaced it with the G9's which are working great. Ryding in groups and having communication between us is a nice feature. When seperated we can keep in touch and regroup easily...sorry to hear some are having problems out there...!! :gaah:

We got the G9s when they were first offered. Then we had to wait until the release date. Only problem is getting them to work with the Sena SM10 dual audio stream. Otherwise everything else is great.

G9 call problems

I know this Thread is a bit old but my problem is subject matter related.
I have been using the Scala G9 for about a year now and I think everything works great except when calling out. I can hear but the other end can not hear me. The G9 is linked with the Zumo 660 and so is my phone. When pared with just the phone no problem in or out. Anyone else have this issue? Should I just pair my phone with the G9?

Scala G9 and Zumo 660

I do not use the G9 but in another forum I have heard problems trying to pair a 660 with a Bluetooth device. I have given up trying to get my cell phone to work with the 660.

The instructions are quite specific. Pair your phone to the 660, then pair the 660 to the G9s. The 660 will pass the phone through without any problems. Then everything works fine.

Works fine when receiving calls but the other end can not hear me if I use the ZUMO Address book to dial out. I have emailed SCALA Support however never received an answer back.
