Sanford Florida Thunder Run during Sanford Bikefest to benefit the Shriner's Oct. 8th

I am John Koster I own Scooter's performance in Sanford Florida. We are doing a Scavenger Run on October 8th during the Sanford's Bikefest. The run will begin at the shop and be a leisurely stroll in rural Volusia and Lake Counties. The final destination will be the Sanford Thunder Street Party and twe will have two stages with entertainment and a a taste of the local businesses in the historical Downtown Sanford. The proceeds from the run will benefit The Children's Shrine Hospital. I would love to see some Club Chopper guys at the event. I own a Spyder and so does one of my best friends. I would be great to have a few other Spyders to join us.

Johnny was by today and registered two Spyders we are up to four. I hope a few more of you can make it.

There is less than 7 days left! I hope everyone is ready.....The Scooter's Benefit Run will kick things off from the shop. First bike out 10 AM Last bike out 11:30. All bikes should be back to the Alley by 4 pm. The run will benefit the Shriner's Hospital for Children. First Prize will be a coupon for new rear tyre installed at Scooter's or a $150 gift Certificate. Lot's of other prizes, Hope to see you there!

[h=6]Pretty wet here : ( Tents are going up and all the entertainment will be on the streets. With the wind and rain I am thinking of postpone-ing the motorcycle run. I feel its too dangerous with the predicted wind. I am working on a date I will post it in 30 mins. Any thoughts?[/h]

Jon, Cindy & I were set to go, but this weather is ridiculous. The ride would probably be the "ride of the spyders" cause I don't think the two wheelers would go out in this stuff.

Shawn and Kathy, Recon and myself attended the Sanford Event.
Wow what a crowd..:chat:
2 Spyders were there plus the three of us for a total of 5 spyders.
2 Wheels were not in sight nor found.
John at Scooters,,, thanks for the coffee and donuts :2thumbs:and the guided tour to the BRP tent.
If you ever have seen a ghost town :yikes:the vendor area was just that. We 5 were the only riders there and no place to go but to head for home.

So much for the Sanford event.. sad but true.

Many thanks to John,Dave, and the ladies at Scooters for their great hospitality ( as well as the coffee and donuts!!) We enjoyed seeing your shop and ryding around Sanford with y'all. It's not every day that I get to ryde through a 200 mile carwash for coffee and donuts!! Sorry your event had to get washed out and postponed, but we will be back when you do reschedule it; maybe then some 2 wheelers and some of your local spyders will be there as well. Again, many thanks and hope to see you at Daytona next week.
