S2S floorboard rubber mat loose?

howdy,
In the process of getting a 2021 Sea to Sky and when I sat on it at the dealership, I noticed that both floorboard rubber mats seem loose or wiggled around some. The physical floorboard was not loose, just the rubber mat on top moved around some. Dealer said this was normal. I didn't look underneath to see if any nubs were broken off or not. Bike does have 600 miles on it as it was their demo that they used. So getting a better deal then purchasing new and saving me enough to allow me to get it. Hard to get any 2021's up here anymore. I checked several dealerships and all were gone. Now only Pre Order on the 2022's.

So trading 2018 RT Limited (8200 miles) for this one.

That's normal for the 20's & 21's. Mine does it and the demo I rode did also. I believe it is to reduce any fatigue in your feet and legs due to vibrations.
Glide-on>>>>>>>>>

Sounds good. Just on my 2018, doesn't move at all, though a lot smaller of a floorboard. Looking forward to cruising on the new rig. Wanted one when I picked up the 2018 but no go on pricing and I got the 2018 one as a used one also. Will be just 1 year on the 2018 in a week. So already trading for a 2021 LOL. I'm hoping it rides a little better, which I hear that it does. VERY happy with the 2018. Pedal Commander on the 2018 woke it up. I miss the 2 wheelers, as it was nice getting around those pot holes in Vermont but the 2018 just glided over most of them except the deep ones.
Thanks.

I have a S2S and that's the way they're made. It's just a vibration dampening mechanism. When you remove the floorboard rubber at some point to install highway pegs you'll understand the looseness is intentional. Go to Lamonster garage and watch their highway peg video and that will explain it too.

I also saw on a video last night about Sea to Sky bikes (foreign language but great pictures from country side) and it even showed the guy moving the rubber mats around a little. Didn't understand 99% of what he was saying in German or Swedish but I could understand it when he clearly said.... Sea & Sky... LOL

Thanks to all.

Yep, totally normal. BRP copied the floorboard design from HD in that the rubber portion sort of floats to absorb vibration to eliminate fatigue on longer rides.
