• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryker Grill Guard - Has anyone had experience with a tubular grill guard?

I ride a Ryker 900 and recently had a close encounter with a 5 gallon empty plastic bucket blowing across the highway while I was doing 50.
Fortunately, it was only a close encounter, but it got me to wondering...
Has anyone had good protection to their front end (grill, radiator, etc) by using a tubular steel grill guard similar to what SpyderExtras and others sell?
Just wanted to get the thought of others.

Have one but haven't used it yet for 'protection'. Ride mostly on dirt roads and got it 'just in case'. Also made a great place to mount my PIAA driving lights. I personally love it. It is sturdy and mounted securely and adds some to the skid plate effect for the front end.

I have one on my Ryker 900 ace .... i also got the LED light option. It isn't cheap but if you are running down the road and run into a tire gator, either is replacing your front end. its a easy install with minimum tools, i got it from Slingmods.
