I will be riding my Spyder w/trailer for this event and again on 9-11-13 when Rolling Thunder displays flags over I-77 in South Carolina. If you live in the area or are nearby, please attend the Bridge Dedication or drive by on Wednesday September 11th (probably between 8am 11AM). Aldersgate United Methodist Church
2115 Celanese Road Rock Hill, SC 29732 Honoring the legendary man, a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran,
who for 10 years stood on the Sutton Road Bridge
(exit 83 on I-77) each September 11[SUP]th.[/SUP], waving the United States flag.
He was occasionally accompanied by his wife Betty.
He started immediately after the tragic terrorist attacks on The United States in 2001.
Mr. Farrington passed away in 2011 but his legacy shall live forever with the dedication of this bridge in his honor and memory.
Rolling Thunder® South Carolina Chapter One has taken on the responsibility of presenting the United States flag each 9-11
on all the bridges over I-77 in York County South Carolina.
